Breaking down the data that includes companies like Peapods, Amazon Fresh, Walmart, Instacart, and many others, the average shopping basket for online grocery orders is $157 and contains between 50-53 items. The most avid users of such services are millennial’s, Generation Z, and Generation X who are rather tech savvy and posses a disposable income of around $20,000 - $30, 000 per year.
